I just got several slices of deli cheesecake to eat for dessert, putting on the grill in the backyard and roasting weinters. Oscar Meyer wieners with baked beans, and all that good potato salad too. I will eat like a maniac and got two extra packs for the dogs. We all will be fartin up a storm in bed tonight..... if you dont like the fun posts, than post somethin FUN yourself!!!!

Woodhaven has the most amazing houses. Schmidts chocolates are best!! Yeah, there used to be a small record store in Woodhaven where I used to clip a few 45's under my sleeve. It was much easier to shoplift in those days, and there was another chocolate place many blocks up from Shmidts where they made the most incredible pink wintergreen covered wafers. ooooooooooooooooooooooooh........

No more issues here. Sorry. Actually, things turned out fine for me in Bellmore. I also ran into several people from STA out here. All doing well. Funny thing was over the years, I met people who recognized me as their older sisters friend. When being updated on STA and Woodhaven people, certain names repeatedly came up. Seems I wasn't alone................ As for posting my feelings about it all. Cathartic. And I do have many good memories of Woodhaven. I also got in touch with an old friend because of this site. Thanks. And sounds like someone is still a little bully. Sorry to hear it T.G.

Well I checked out Wally and he is indeed from Woodhaven.He does not like the fact that Lewis is gone except for that little peice of shit section. He was seen in the pet store waling around and annoying people. His family lives in one of those big colonial mother f**kers with huge porches in it. He lives two blocks from Schmidts and remembers woodhaven when they had that small store that fixed and sold bath tubs, etc. Wally is an OLD F**K!!! I LOVED the Carnival Sucks site. It was hilarious and I think all of you should go on there to read about Wally and all his a**hole eating adventures. Got a kick out of the Afghanistan Government message board too. The Board Goat is a really cool guy. I am happy that the CIRCUS bar is still around in Woodhaven, as I am still an alcoholic and damned proud of it. I too, have gone into SCHMIDTS HOMEMADE CHOCOLATES and made a pig out of myself. The thin chick with the long blond hair is a cutie, and I wonder if the rug matches the curtains? haw. haw. I eat some of the raison clusters and they are tasty. I like the pies and cakes in the deli across the street and I just bought about a dozen meat cakes and some salads to go with my beer for tonights dinner. He is doing fabulous work with terminal cancer patients. He is not a quack either, he is an immunologist that is doing experimental work as well, check him out in your search engine. left woodhaven in 1974,,,,,,,,,,,,,was hard to do at 13 yrs old. Went to STA. Left in 8th grade. I grew up in Woodhaven, and I hated it. I wasn't cool. I was picked on. Even by a priest. What I know now, is that if you were young, pretty, smart and loud, (1970's) you were better off ...................GONE. And I was. Problem for me was. (Long Island school thought I was a tough girl from the city) They didn't want me either. Funny, huh? St. Thomas Apostle, invited me back for the graduation dance. (I went there for 7 1/2 yrs.) When I arrived, I was told, nobody wanted me there. Even funnier, I drove into Woodhaven a few years later. What I remember is Tommy Gebert on Jamaica Ave., in front of the Circus..........looking me in the chest, saying, "Hi". I was so glad I was gone from there. I read so many things that reminded me of the Woodhaven I grew up in. Lewis'...I grew up in Wycoff Apartments. I remember Woolworth, Jacks, Meyerhoffers, Jason's, Rubies, (which as an STA student I wasn't allowed in) Loft's, Rexall, the butcher next to Meyerhoffer, Buster Brown's, A & P, the Dome, 60 park, the soupbowl,the rock, FK Lane, 3 stooges movies (at STA auditorium) ,(even have an autograph from Officer Joe Bolten). I have a lot of good memories from Woodhaven. Unfortunately, my memories are of Woodhaven. Not the people. I wish you all well. And the carousel, is one, we even have movies from the 1940's of my dad. Woodhaven is a wonderful, historical place. Even if you don't want it to be.

Good Lord, someone here is having a bad life. We ALL know that wasn't A-S. But, I do thank the real A-S for his kind words. By the way, Happy Secretary's Day to all of you who fit the bill. While I'm more of an a**istant, and that's how my broker's treat me, I walked in this morning to a nice bouquet of flowers, and a few green bills, which is always a welcome sight. Office gave me flowers also, and just got back from lunch with the other broker, who is also my hubby. Great day for me (in spite of the warped ones here). How little affect they really have on us. Maybe it just makes them feel better about themselves. In light of that, I'm glad to help them out.
